"Placement" is a term that people within the foster care system use to describe a child that has been removed from their home and placed into foster care.
Let's be sure we don't forget the HUMAN behind the placement. It is a child. A child with hopes, dreams, interests, hobbies, and needs.
Don't let your foster child become a number, a statistic, a placement on a piece of paper.
Using the word "child" may be a small change, but you have to start somewhere.
(Also, I'm pretty sure the kid in your home doesn't want to be called a Placement. 😣)
