Garden rocks or plants are also great items for a foster parent who is grieving.

    Polaroid Camera

I love these! We use them to snap quick quotos to give to bio parents or photos for the life book. It makes it super easy to quick print photos of new kids in the home to hang up on mirrors and the fridge.

This would also make a great bio parent gift so they can take pictures of their kids at visits and have a physical copy.

    Make your own story

Kids decorate pages and you send it off to this company that makes it into a bound storybook.

This is incredibly helpful for kids to understand their story and timeline of events. It can also serve as a memory book if they are not in contact with their parents right now.

    Blanket Hoodie

A comfort item you can wear! Older kids love these (so do I!) And yes, they make them in adult sizes too!

    broken image

    Sensory Lamps/Aquariums

There are many options for sensory lamps and aquariums (that don't require live fish!). There are bubbles, fish, jelly fish, etc. They are great for bedrooms for kids who struggle with sleep or can help to soothe and calm.

    Sirius XM

I spend so much time in my car traveling from all of the appointments, visits, and meetings. I love music, and use music as a tool to help kids regulate, focus, decompress from hard moments. Sirius XM has something for everyone. Even Kidz Bop lol I also like that I don't have to stream from my device to play it in the car.

I don't have any discounts, but they often run SO many deals - if you talk to them on the phone you can sometimes negotiate.

    Proxies

I don't drink wine anymore, and this has been an incredible replacement for me (it is non alcoholic).

This is by far my favorite, but please know, if you don't know Sangria or Vineger, you probably won't like these! :)

I love them so much that I signed up to be an affiliate and earn a commission. This doesn't cost you more!

    Vibes

These are my favorite ear plugs. I also appreciate that they are almost totally hidden when you wear them.

They don't block the sound, they just bring the sound down to a level that doesn't hurt.

This is a must-have for migraine prevention!

    broken image

    Monkey Island Games

I am a huge nerd! :) I love this series of point and click adventure games. This is "me time" and part of my self care - if you love computer games, check this one out!

    broken image

    Bug Bite Thing

This would make a great stocking stuffer :) I love this for bug bites - my skin always reacts so intensely from mosquitoes and this is SO helpful!

    broken image

    Escape Room Boxes

After the kids go to bed, my husband and I love to do escape room boxes. Exit games is our favorite brand - this is a great one.

    broken image

    Letter Boards

First - NO - I don't use these to create social media signs with foster kids.

Instead, I use these to create welcome messages for new kids that come in, affirmation messages, and to celebrate birthdays & accomplishments. I have this in the front of my home, and it also is a great reminder to workers that come through so they can share in celebrations.
